Soon after EQAT member Eileen Flanagan stood up this morning during the PNC annual shareholder meeting at Tampa’s Intercontinental Hotel, CEO William Demchak called the meeting to an abrupt close. “I stood to bear silent witness to PNC’s continuing investment in mountaintop removal coal mining,“ said Flanagan, “and to hold the board of directors and the management in prayer to ‘do the right thing’”.

Close to 200 people at the federal building in Philadelphia "swept out State Department corruption" with brooms and blocked the doors with their bodies. Twenty-nine courageous people were arrested for civil disobedience and released by the end of the day.
